Inclusivity at Kiez Burn

Kiez Burn strives to create inclusive events where everyone feels welcome, free, and safe to experiment and express themselves. In any large community, instances of harm between participants can occur, and our community is no exception.

Since 2022 we’ve had Radical Accountability Division, aka the RAD - a team of volunteers specifically working to support Kiez Burn community members who have experienced, witnessed or caused harm and empower people to recognise, communicate and keep their own and each other's boundaries.

Kiez Burn Code of Conduct outlines how we strive to treat one another with respect and care in the Kiez Burn community – at any space online or offline. The RAD takes reports from community members who’ve experienced or witnessed harm at any of our events or in our community spaces against our Code of Conduct though our Harm Reporting Form. If you're uncertain whether to send a report or not, we encourage you to send a report and start a conversation with us to address your concerns.

Radical Accountability Division (RAD)

The RAD meets once or twice a month throughout the year depending on the needs of the community. As the team is made up of freely given enthusiastic volunteers of the Kiez Burn community, the individual capacity of each member may vary and we strive to have a work environment that is aware and conscious of the mental load this work can bring with it. We humbly request you to be understanding with us if a response or case process takes longer than anticipated. We value your trust and want to support you to our best capacities!

The RAD area of responsibility is limited to cases happening in Kiez Burn community spaces (online or offline). We do not offer counseling or legal advice.

In this RAD Master document you can find all the information you need of how the RAD works:

The Team

HM (Hanna-Maija)

(they/them)

Been on the bandwagon since the first year and actively participated in the community and the Kiez Burn e.V. ever since.

Passionate about consent education and making the world safe*r for all.

Queer dog, cat and plant parent ❤️ Striving for sustainability in all aspects of life, love, power and freedom.

Leo
(she/her)

Hi, I'm Leo, Kiezburner since 2017.

Super excited about non violent communication, mediation and consent awareness in all kind of spaces (consent this is not only sexy in kink and sex positive spaces!).

During Kiezburn build/burn/strike (if I'm not wandering the land of KB or dancing in the underworld) you'll most likely find me in the Toolhouse, at the fire space, or in a cuddle puddle.

Luz
(she/they)

Hi, I'm Luz, Romanesco Realm vegetable since 2023.

I'm a Circling and Authentic Relating facilitator and event designer; I'm passionate about communication tools that help us be more connected to ourselves as we interact with others.

You can find me often in awareness/welfare teams for raves, conferences, sex-positive spaces and festivals. I have deep pools of energy for listening and holding loving presence.

Rob
(he/him)

Hi I’m Rob, also known as Froggie. My first Kiezburn was 2022.

I love building and making things, very much want to contribute emotional resources towards the well being of this wonderful community.

You'll find me at the Harlot Haus or in some cuddle puddle.

Fae
(he/him)

Kiez Burner since 2021.

Passionate about touch, chilling radically, equality, and consent. Feels most at home in kinky corners. Scoring points and winning on the neurodiversity spice-o-meter.

Started of as a Muddi, briefly moonlighted as a Harlot, and now inexplicably photosynthesising as a semi-feral houseplant in the BVG driver’s seat

Life’s wild ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Siri (she/her)

Hello! I’ve been on welfare shifts and art / dream committees at burns since 2017, and love to co-create spaces where people can open up and hold space for each other. I’m trained in nonviolent communication.

I live with a mystic bee who grants me a crystal memory, and at Kiezburn you might see me hosting a workshop on how to get out of a workshop.
